Christmas Teaser

Somepuggies got exactly what they wanted for Christmas. One thing that they have been coveting for weeks on end. One thing that pretty much ALL of their friends out there in blogland have been able to secure. Want a preview? ;)

Can you tell what it is from this photo? It's perfectly pug-size...and perfectly pug-shaped (i.e. round.)

Can you tell what it is here?
Wait...what the heck? Billie, that's not yours...

It's perfectly tuggable and nommable and snuggleable, too.

It's a sock monkey bed! And sweet Klausie knows just how to use it. When it's not occupied by his sister or cousin, of course. :)

She Didn't Get the Memo

I guess we forgot to tell miss Natty about the being good part of getting presents for Christmas. Here she is snorfling and trampling on the presents, nibbling the bows, and trying to get a sneak peek at what's in all those packages. And not being very subtle about it either, might I add.
The tree has been up for weeks, and the presents under it for days--but the little girl apparently just realized that there were goodies underneath.Notice the blur that is Klausie standing off to the side, being a tattle tale. He takes great pleasure in being a good boy.

Happy holidays to you all, from two very merry pugs!

Winter Shminter.

We're flashback-Fridaying to summer, gosh darnit.
Summer puuuuuugs, and the livin' was eeeeeasy!
(I miss our yard. Waaaah!)
Oh, what those puggies wouldn't give for a patch of grass now!

Only like 8 months of winter left to go, little ones. :/ *Sigh.

I'm Gonna Need a Bigger Lap... (and an extra hand)

Every time I get the urge to add another pug to our brood, I have to remind myself that two pugs is really a perfect number. There are two humans in our family, but when only one human is around, it's still feasible to manage two pugs. We've each got two hands for walking, two hands for petting, and two hands for feeding. What on earth would I do if we had three? Not to mention that lap space is at a real premium around here. Do you see any extra space on this daddy's lap? Nope, me neither.I do know that someday I'd love to rescue another little guy...but it will have to wait until we've got more space, more money, and a yard again. (*Sigh.) For now though, these two are keeping our laps nice and toasty! :)

Caught in the Act

Klaus doesn't want anyone to know that he cuddles with his sister, but he does.
Well, kinda. More like, sometimes when she inches closer, he doesn't entirely move away. He's a snob like that.

A Pug and His Daddy.

He's mostly a mama's boy...but sometimes, just sometimes...a pug boy needs to cuddle with his dad.

Roundie.

Hey, Gurl! Could you possibly curl into a tighter ball?
No? I didn't think so.

What I Am Thankful For.

These little munchkins, who light up my each and every day and night.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! (And don't forget to spoil those pugs!)

Uh, Oh.

We seem to have a "situation" on our hands.

This place is becoming SERIOUSLY overrun with frogs!

Flashback Friday

One of my first pictures of Natty after bringing her home. Look at that cranky face! I should've known I was going to have a little sassafrass on my hands. :)

She was a cuddler from the start, just so sweet and easy to love! But what a LAZY girl. :)

Finally Friday

It's been a long week, and the puggies are TIRED.
And so, might I add, is the pug mama.

When I get home tonight, you can bet this is where you'll find me.
Under a pile of pugs, of course! Enjoy your well-deserved weekend, everyone!

Where Are Those Darn Pugs in a Pod?

Sorry we've been MIA for *gasp* over a week now! The pug mama has been very busy with some changes at work and just hasn't gotten around to posting about her two cutie patooties (shame on me!) Never fear--I've got an entire week's worth of puggalicious backlog to share with you. Since I'm at work now (work, work, WORK) I'll start with some photos that I've got here on my phone. Without further ado, I present to you, my Sunshine Gurl:

If there is a sunbeam to be had, this pug will find it. Happy Tuesday, everyone!

It's His Birthday!

Happy 4th birthday to my sweetest baby boy, Klausie! You don't look a day over puppy, little one. :) Your family loves you SO much, and we hope you have a wonderful day--and many more happy years to come!

Wistful Wednesday

What do you think Miss Natty is thinking about? Is she longing for summer? Wishing for a bully stick? Hoping that she'll get a Zhu Zhu hamster to celebrate Klausie's birthday tomorrow night?

Impromptu Pug Party!

I was out walking the puggy bears on Saturday afternoon when I ran into one of my neighbors, Lutz. He just ADORES Klaus and Natty, and has two pugs of his own, so he invited us up onto his porch to have a little puggy meet and greet! These pictures are far too blurry to get a good look at the pugs (they didn't stop moving for one second!), but here's a glimpse of our first time playing with Ella and Oafie (Ophelia).
Two blacks and two fawns! You just gotta have one of each. :)
The pugs got along swimmingly (isn't it funny how they always seem to recognize their own kind?) The lovely ladies even put up with Klausie's attempts to put the, ahem, "moves" on them. You were lovely and gracious hosts, little ladies.
Lutz also has a lovely white boxer boy, but poor Junior was relegated to the inside for this initial meeting, as Klaus can be a little less than gracious around larger dogs--especially males--and especially when his sister is involved. Someone needs a brush up on his visitors etiquette!

Of course, an impromtu pug party on what should have been a leisurely afternoon stroll left me with some seriously pooped pugs. :)
Nighty night, little ones!

Bitey-Face Crazy Time!

Sorry about the blurry photos, but these pugs are lightning fast! And my camera phone is, well...not.

Something about having a soft blanket or pillow to fight on makes them go all pug-crazy, WWE-style.

This last one is for our buddy Salinger, who wanted to know if the pugs are always sweet and cute, or if they ever do anything rotten and turdley. Gah! Klausie, NO! We're wrestling, not...er...*sigh.
