Little Prince

Handsome little prince needs his face cleaned, but he's ridiculously naughty about letting me clean it. He is an expert paw swiper--won't let me anywhere NEAR his wrinkles, he just bats my hands away! And I have a cream that I've been trying to put on his dry little nose, but FORGET about it. It's impossible to get my finger anywhere near his nose without accidentally putting the stuff in his eye.

Now his poor, boopable little nose feels like croc scales. :( Got any tricks you'd care to share? Seriously, and make 'em good. This pug is BAD with a capital B.A.D.

I make sure my mom and dad have an extra hard time doing anything around my face...and just forget about touching the toes. It takes two people to get the job done. Dad holds me and mom goes in for the kill. That about the only thing that will work for them. Sorry I don't have any better advice, but even if I did, us pugs got to stick together...I wouldn't think of giving away Klaus' secrets!

Sorry, Mack fights like crazy to clean his folds, and like Payton, won't let us near his toes! Only anesthesia works!

Me (Minnie) am a good little girl and let hu-mom prod and poke me anywhere!

Drools and licks,
Minnie and Mack

Sorry Klausie Dude....I really have no good news for you! Mom and Dad TAG TEAM ME when I curl up to sleep on the Big Cloud Bed. Dad holds me and acts like he's hugging me and mom jams cotton pads into my folds and smears all sorts of crap on my nose and squirts other crap into my eyes and ears. RUUUUUUUDE!!!!

I'm usually super sleepy when they wait until late at night, so I don't fight back too badly.

Good luck, Buddy! Maybe she can try some nice almond oil on your nose....at least it smells and tastes yummy!!!!

S-Dog

You just need more hands. :)

I think most "pug maintenance" requires at least two people. Trimming Sid's dew claws is the worst! We're super gentle but still the only way to get it done is to catch him when he's half-asleep or mid-stretch. Good luck!

P.S. We put a little "bag balm" on Sid's nose when it looks a little scaly. Seems to work well.

Emma is so bad too. I am do a sneak attack via coming from behind and holding her chin and aim low so I don't poke eyeballs if I miss I get her teeth/mouth instead. Good luck.

I have to get my face cleaned too. It's horrible. The key is to keep moving and wiggling so they can't wipe it off! Good luck! hehe

My mom corrals me in the bathroom and sits down on the floor and wrestles me like a bear. It takes a while but finally she gets some good swipes in there. I try to make everything she does as difficult as possible. I have to get my kicks somewhere.

Later!
Vito

PS it is WAY too hot here too! I've just been sprawled out in from of the a/c vent where I belong!
