Friendship Friday

Today I thought I'd give a shout-out to some of the puggies' new friends in the blog world. Thanks Wilma and Winston for welcoming Klaus and Natty into your clubs! We love reading your blogs (and all of the other puggy blogs out there) and are happy to be making new friends! And to help you get to know us a little better, we'll fill out Pearl's quiz too. :)

1.) Name and Age:

Klaus: Big 3.5-year-old boy! Born October 28, 2006

Natty: Approximately 3 years old :) Natty was found as a stray, so we're not exactly sure how old she is...but that's our best guess.

2.) Breed: Puggy bears

3.) Nickname(s): Too many to name...but here's a sampling. :)

Klausie: The Bean, Klausimous, Stinky, Sweet boy, Monkey

Natty: Natalie, Nataloo, Louie, Louie-belle, Gurrl

4.) Where'd ya come from?

Klaus: Loved from afar since he was born, we watched him grow in photographs. We drove 5 hours to pick him up from a breeder in Indiana. The best Christmas present I ever received!

Natty: Natty was a rescue from NIPRA. She was found as a stray in the dead of winter in Kankakee. She was in bad shape, and we don't know much about where she came from, but we sure are glad she's with us now! The best little girl we could've ever hoped for.

1.) Toy:

Klaus: Santa loofa dog

Natty: Stuffed white dog from Ikea

2.) Snack:

Klaus: CHEESE!

3.) Human person:

Klaus: MomMomMommyMommyMommyMOM!

Natty: Daddy! And Mom too!

1.) Worst habit:

Klaus: Humping Natty (tough guy), barking/whining/growling at Mom to get his way

Natty: Raiding Mom's dirty laundry, eating tissues out of the garbage

2.) Most embarrassing moment:

Klaus: When someone watches him poop

Natty: Gland expression (oh Natty...it's not enjoyable for us, either)

3.) Family dynamic (this is a question for those of you with more than one animal in the house. i.e. who is alpha? who is the cuddler? who is the naughty one? etc. I just want to know how you fit into the family!)

Klausie is the top dog, but only because Natty lets him be. (She's too good-natured to be bothered with a power struggle, but she could kick his butt.) He is a sweet and sensitive little guy, a little bit anxious, and needs his Mom ALL the time! He is my cuddly and licky little man. He's also our little protector, and gets FIERCE when he feels the need. Natty is more independent, though also cuddly and affectionate. She likes to chase birds and believes she is a fierce hunter. She also likes to watch TV, and is quite a talker. She likes to plant herself on your lap, facing you, and give tiny whiskery puggy kisses. These pugs have no concept of personal space; they are the very definition of lap dogs.

4.) Your humans' FAVORITE thing about you!: Oh no, this is too tough. I could write a book...

Klaus: Klausie is my best buddy; he's my shadow and is never far from my side. I can always count on my little dude to make everything better with a kiss or a cuddle. He comforts me and brings me joy every day.

Natty: Natty is so enthusiastic about everything. She is such an eager little girl, such a delight; it's such a joy to share in her excitement. She is becoming a sassy little princess, and it is so much fun to see her personality come out more and more each day.

They both keep me laughing, every single day. :) Never a dull moment when the pugs are around!

Hi Klaus & Natty!

I just loooved your answers to my quiz! Thank you so much for taking the time to do it.

You are both so cute. I think your momma and daddy are awfully lucky that you found them. How boring would our humans' lives be without us puggies!? :)

The poop-humiliation...can't mamas and sibs get a hint that it is a private moment...hence the reasons mamas surely installed the privacy fence.

Mama #2: George, we installed the privacy fence because of our neighbors...especially the one to the west being so nosey and critical about how we run our household. But sure, if you think it was for private pooping session then you are the man. Love you bubbie! :)

See Mama agrees with me and I agree with her back...so nice to have met you Klaus and your sister Natty.

Gracie Lynn here to say that I agree with the gland expression being way embarrasing. Why is it that we pugs are prone to this problem? Ugh...the torture of it all...I also, along with my sibs, like tissues and hampster diving.

Laters new peeps,

You two are great!!

Mommy gots me from the NIPRA'S TOO!! I was found wandering around too!!

Izzy has a boyfriend named TheBean!! But he is a shitzu doggie (I know)

Izzy also gets Embarrassed to pee in front of people. When Mommy takes her out potty...she has to look the other way in order for Izzy to go!! Hee Hee. Which is pretty funny 'cuz she'll pee right aways in front of Daddy!!

Nice reading 'bout you two!!

Can you believe that they actually find pugs just wandering around on the streets? That blows my mind every time I think about it. I used to think it would be my dream come true to just find a pug somewhere, haha...of course I know better now. Thanks for sharing with us!

My name is Daisy and I'm a treeing walker coonhound who sneaks onto my mom's bloggie looking for pug furriends beclaws I believe pugs are the bestest in the whole world! You may think it's odd that a tall girl like myself would love pugs so much but I do and I can't help it! I love watching them run circles around me while they huff & puff and I love that they're such good wrestlers!
My mom & dad are purrfessional pet sitters in NH and they take me to walk (oops! I mean, WORK) with them & when I met my 3 pug friends, Ace, Fenway, & Isabella, they immediately became my PFF's! Buttt...would you like to be my other PFF's? Please???
XOXO, Daisy the Coonhound
