The pugs have a new spot from which to observe the goings-on in our new neighborhood. We moved from a ground-level single family home to a third-floor condo, so their perspective has changed quite a bit! There are pros and cons to this move, of course. I miss lounging in the yard with my little guys, but I think the thrice daily walks and three flights of stairs each way are doing us all more good than we'd care to admit. Natty's harness is already fitting a bit more loosely (thank goodness...we couldn't have squeezed a single ounce more of Natty pudge into it!) and they've always loved walks--the yard just allowed us to be lazy. (Oh! To be lazy again!) Anyway, this is their new chill spot on the back of the couch. It allows them to see directly into the yard across the alley, where a boisterous fox terrier tends to be yap-yap-yapping away at anyone in his vicinity and attempting to bound over the fence (he comes quite close). The pugs love these window shades, which allow them to see out even when they are closed. The mama doesn't love them
quite as much, since there's no possible way to block the pugs' view of the noisy fox terrier when they want to bark or woo woo at him--which is pretty much always.
Best buds. (Cell phone photos--please excuse the blur!)
So intent. (Klaus, as usual, is just a shadow. I need tips on photographing a black pug, people!)
Does that guy ever shut up, Mom? Good grief.
Someone is going to have to inform our noisy new neighbor that this is the pugs' hood now. Have a good day, everyone!
